Default Very long strange phrase surpassing all search engine referrals including brand terms

usually most of the organic search engine traffic for my company comes from google. last week, the search term:"epstein molested underage girls including three 12-year-old girls brought over from france as a birthday gift" brought in more traffic than the brand terms and all of it came from bing. the numbers were very high and unusual. there was an article written on this topic, but nothing was done differently than before. any idea on why this is happening??

Without knowing the name, nature, or or URL of your company, I can't tell you why you're being targeted by this search but it's a news story about a billionnaire pedophile who seems to have escaped justice - the kiond of thing that captiures the attention of people everywhere and enrages them - and the story has been scraped, repated, and quoted all over the net (Google shows over 1100 results for that quote since the story was published 8 days ago).

my company is an online news source. yes this was a huge story last week and many wrote about it. but that still doesn't explain the long phrase that brought in so much traffic and only from bing (no other search engines). usually search is 1-4 words, if it was epstein molested or epstein pedafile...that would make sense.

The same could be said on Michael Jackson's death (bless his soul). Lot's of sites come popping out of nowhere and dominating the rankings just because they have a blog post or an article about the event. That's called leveraging on the hype. If anything its viral.
