I've been outranked by...myself

So I was doing a checkup on a few of my keywords today and realized that I have in fact outranked myself. For one of my top three keywords, the SERP from G has my Squidoo Lens for one of my products one spot higher than my actual site. (Also a bit amusing that a press release I did is ranked a few spots below this)

What are the opinions on this kind of happening? Is this a good/bad thing, or little importance at all?

I have seen it happen and I think it doesn't matter too much. Squidoo is usually a temporary rank and the relevant sites will usually move past the lens.

I agree that the relevant sites MAY move up past the lens. I've seen a few Squiddo lens hold down top spots for very competitive niches. As far as the Press Release they move up the search engine rankings pretty quickly and then they sometimes fall back a page or two.
