I came across a hosting company website today www(.)seohosting(.)com and read the following content

Our hosting plans are designed for those who require advanced Search Engine Optimization tools. Our customers know that the key to a successful SEO campaign begins at the foundation, their web hosting provider. SEO hosting customers have come to depend on the reliable, easy to use interface that we have developed for unsurpassable Search Engine Optimization.

Then I tried to find what they are offering to help their customer's to do well in SEO, found they are offering C-Class IP for their customers. And that's all.

I've very very little knowledge about relationship between SEO and IP address ... can anyone tell me is it really helpful or just another misleading advert!

Thanks.

Hosting is one factor of SEO.

If your targeting traffic from a specific country, then the host location should also be located there too.

If you were building a network of websites purely for SEO purposes, then ideally you would use different hosts, all on unique IPs.

C Class IP clusters play a big part in SEO, yes.

Hosting is a core of any online business and should not be over looked. Being with a poor hosting company that frequently has downtime can affect your rankings.

Okay and what if you have a shared host and see with this tool (http://www.myipneighbors.com/) that there is also an 18+ (s#x) site on the same server. Can that affect my pagerank?

I have a bad feeling about that, but I am not sure whether this is negative or not for seo purposes. The webhoster itself is known to be a good one, so that's not a problem in this case.
But because I just bought the host it may be possible that I can be placed on another clean server.

As long as the hosts accepts adult sites and the site owner is not doing anything he shouldn't be then it will not affect your site at all.

Forget Page Rank, it sucks.

Thank you for the fast reply.

The webhoster does have a proper anti-spam policy, so then it should be okay.

Thank you for the fast reply.

Thats what the "Thanks" button is for.

But yes, your site will be fine. I assume you don't know all the other people on the shared hosting account so your not going to be linking to the other people the account right?

Then it's not a problem.

After a while I have the webhost now, so I looked again. And all of the websites are just normal and I know nobody on the server, so that's okay.

And there are only 28 hosts on the server. I think that most be very little, because another website from me on a cheaper host firm has 262 hosters on that server
